Our apartment blends rustic charm with modern luxury. Whether you’re here to hike or hide away, the “modern farm” aesthetic provides a bright, warm and inviting atmosphere. It comfortably sleeps 4 to 5 guests, with high-quality linens, peaceful views and all the amenities you could hope for in a farm inn.
Accommodations
Rest comfortably in bedrooms curated for a family or group getaway. The main bedroom is spacious, with a queen bed. The guest room offers two incredibly comfortable twin beds in a cozy farm-themed space that is sure to entertain kids and adults alike.
The spa bathroom is what truly sets this stay apart: a showstopper with a massive walk-in shower and a deep, freestanding tub, perfect for relaxing after a day on the trails.
At the heart of the home, like any good farmhouse, is a sun-drenched open-concept kitchen and sitting area, plus a cozy, widened hallway nook tucked away for board games, morning coffee or getting lost in a good book.

The Roost Market is your personal pantry! Open daily from 7 am to 7 pm, it’s a lively hub for the community where you can grab fresh-baked treats, farm-fresh eggs, local meat and produce, and prepared meals. Speak with the staff about making a special order for your stay, and learn how we support local farms and agriculture.
The store is a bustling spot! You’ll hear the happy hum of the community during the day and occasional live entertainment on the patio in the evenings, so ask about special events during your stay. The Market has a beautiful patio and backyard seating with a breathtaking view of the farm. Just for our overnight guests, there’s a picnic table, fire pit and BBQ.
After-Hours Magic
Once the sun goes down, the farm transforms. With zero light pollution, the stargazing here is world-class. Chat over the fire, take in the Milky Way and the sparkle of fireflies, and listen for whip-poor-wills, nighthawks and peepers.
The Roost Farm is a fifth generation family owned farm where we do Food. For Real. We are small batch farmers specializing in maple syrup, meats and good times. We love opportunities to share our products, land and experiences.
While here, take in the magic of this land. Visit the farm and gardens, or take picturesque walks through the bush on our trails. The Roost Farm also offers a private backdoor to the Carden Alvar Provincial Park for bird and nature enthusiasts to marvel.
The Roost Farm is in Dalrymple, ON, in the heart of Kawartha Lakes. It is 2 hours north of Toronto, 15 short minutes from Casino Rama and a beautiful 30 minute drive south east of Orillia.
Nature & Adventure at Your Doorstep
We are a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and “birders.” Our farm is 190 acres, accessible by walking trails, and neighbours the famous Carden Alvar Provincial Park. Keep your binoculars ready for rare birds, deer, and the occasional moose. Enjoy spectacular colours in autumn, or snowshoe through the winter calm.
Water Access
Boaters welcome! We are a “stone’s throw” from the Lake Dalrymple boat launch, 5 minutes from the Kirkfield Lift Lock and Trent-Severn Waterway, and 10 minutes from Lake Simcoe, as well as hundreds of waterways throughout the Kawartha Lakes.
We offer ample onsite parking for boats, canoes or Sea-Doos. Water access is nearby, and we can help arrange private fishing tours or kayak rentals.
